This comprehensive 3-hour session assists individuals to develop an accurate understanding surrounding the issue of violence against women through discussion and dispelling of common myths and gender-unequal attitudes and beliefs. It explores the key issues relating to violence against women in Australia by providing an overview of the prevalence and impact on individuals and workplaces.
Participants have the opportunity to develop their toolkit using a practical framework for how to conduct a supportive, low-risk conversation, and to practise the critical skills through participation in realistic case studies.
Workplaces are key settings for the prevention of domestic violence, as most men and women in domestic violence situations are in paid work. It’s vitally important we start the conversation on this issue with our staff. This 1-hour session explores the issues relating to violence against women by assisting participants to develop an accurate understanding of domestic violence and to discuss and dispel common myths.
The aim of the workshop is to increase participants’ awareness and confidence in addressing the issue, specifically how to call out disrespectful and gender-unequal attitudes and behaviours, and where to go for support.

These 30-minute modules, featuring empathy-building real life stories, have been developed with the assistance of our family and domestic violence facilitators to deliver on key learning outcomes in a richly immersive, engaging format. They can be used either to complement the workshops or as stand-alone learning experiences. Through the convenience and discretion of online, participants have the opportunity to connect with and explore some of the deeper issues in their own time, at their own pace.
